EA 上星期宣佈正式終止支援 The Sims 2，不會再推出更新和修正。亦因為這樣，EA 由今天至 7 月 31 日會開放 The Sims 2: Ultimate Collection 供免費下載。這個是最齊全的終極版，包括了 17 個主題擴充包 (清單如下)。
